Ang is a Ph.D. candidate in sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and also holds a master's degree in statistics from the same institution. He is interested in developing and applying statistically rigorous tools to address social inequalities. Specifically, his methodological interests lie in causal inference and semiparametric inference. His substantive areas of focus include social stratification and mobility, the sociology of education, and health disparities.
