Kai Sandbrink

The University of Oxford

Kai Sandbrink is a PhD Candidate in computational cognitive neuroscience at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on the use of deep reinforcement learning as a model for human learning and behavior. He is supervised by Christopher Summerfield and externally by Wulfram Gerstner. Prior to coming to Oxford, he was a researcher at Harvard University with Mackenzie and Alexander Mathis, and studied mathematics, biotechnology, and computational neuroscience at ETH Zurich. He is a Cusanuswerk Doctoral Fellow and a former Werner Siemens Fellow of the Swiss Study Foundation.
